About us

The Fresh Ideas Network supports community food projects which aim to make healthy/local food more easily available, accessible and affordable to local communities, particularly in areas of disadvantage. Our aim is to link projects and people involved in food work at ground level, supporting them with resources, training and a chance to meet and share ideas.

The Fresh Ideas Network has received funding for three years from the Big Lottery Fund as part of the Chances 4 Change regional Wellbeing programme as part of the expansion of its support for projects and initiatives that are working to address food access issues in the most disadvantaged areas in the region.

There are three paid part-time members of staff, working a total of 46 hours per week, in addition to which there is a Steering Group which meets a minimum of three times year to decide the overall direction of the Network.

The Fresh Ideas Network is a project of Common Cause Co-operative Ltd.
