"The Community Fruit and Veg Project is a social enterprise that was set up as part of the Five a Day programme based at Hastings and Rother PCT.
The project is run on a not-for-profit basis and is supported by external funding from a variety of different sources. However, in the long term we aim to cover most of our running costs through sales of fruit and vegetables and other income generating activities.
Their work also relies on the support of dedicated volunteers who help with all our activities including helping to pack bags and boxes, running stalls and taking orders on behalf of the project.
The Community Fruit and Veg Project's main aim is to help local people to eat a healthy diet by making it easier for them to access affordable fruit and vegetables.
